This partner is a trader, with years of mold exporting experience. This project relates to the construction industry, with requirement of new-type structure and new-type environmental construction material application. Technical difficulties are as below.
Mold Production: this plastic part is assembled by jointed each plastic part, which not allows any draft angles on the edges. Also the mold requires a full automation injection. With deep cavity design on this plastic part, the tooling is much more difficult. The interior structure is complicated, request cooling systems of each mold part. RUNKE dismantles the core mold into hundreds of mold parts, which are produced by high-speed precision CNC machine. Interior deep cavity mold parts are processed by the precision EDM machines. Therefore, each ejected plastic part can joint together without extra grinding step. The whole injection process is very smooth which meets the customer’s demands.
Injection: due to this new-type construction material, composed of wood flour, with poor fluidity, it is crucial to control the temperature basd on the complex structure. Temperature control is a key to keep surface quality of this product.
It takes 6 months to finish this project. The customers exports the molds successfully and appreciates RUNKE’s effort in this project. Profession and patience is the key to this new-type material application in mold project and to a new successful product for customers.
