One of RUNKE’s partners, is a listed company with 20 years, specialized in automotive sensor appliances. Runkes is responsible for the molds of the high precision plastic key parts in automotive sensor appliances and atomized electronic products. The molds requires injection coming with the metal accessory, high dimension accuracy and high surface quality.
According to the previous cases of this customer, the previous molds are designed with 2 cavities. Each cavity is with two metal inserts. This requires to manually take out two inserts during injection process which decreases the production efficiency. That’s why the customer finally chooses to work with RUNKE who has better production solution.
After repeated internal discussions of the mold design, RUNKE offers a solution of four cavities which requires one metal insert into each cavity and four plastic molded parts will be taken out at the same time by a special customized fixture. This helps increase the injection efficiency which the customer appreciates.
